There are two ways that users can begin to build custom segments.

The user can start building custom segments by first creating a new Taxonomy. This can be accessed by clicking on the “Taxonomy” Taxonomy button in the upper left corner of the homepage. The user can then enter in the names of the taxonomy and segment, choose the language and market, select the taxonomy location and choose whether to create the segment via Recommendation Engine or Keyword List upload. Once satisfied with the content of his or her segment, the user can save it.
The user will then be able to see the segment directly displayed in the folder view under the Projects tab in the “Segments” Segments column, appearing once a taxonomy is selected in the folder view. From here, it will be possible to rename, edit, or delete it as well as add a new segment to the user’s selected taxonomy.

From the folder view, the user can select an existing taxonomy to view the segment breakdown of the taxonomy in the dedicated column. By clicking on the “+” symbol next to “Segments” Segments under the taxonomy name, the user can access the segment creation menu to add a segment directly to the selected taxonomy, which will be linked to it in the folder view once it has been saved. The taxonomy name, location, language and market cannot be changed at this stage.
