A seedword refers to the word or set of words (expression) entered by a user to search for information on a search engine/ suggestion or other.

If a user enters the seedword field with the term "red dress", it is the group of words "red dress" that is considered as a keyword.

Users and search engines depend on keywords to find information, so choosing them well determines the relevance of the results returned by the suggestion engine.
